Bharat, the latest Bollywood movie starring Salman Khan in lead role has made a collection of over Rs 200 crores at the box office in the first 14 days of its release. It has become the 14th film for the actor to earn more than 100 cr. The journey started with Dabangg which released in 2010. (Check: Bollywood Movies 2019.)

The 53-year-old actor has set this seemingly unbreakable record. This milestone has the stardom of Salman written all over it. It’s such a record that none of his contemporary artists like Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, or even Aamir Khan can boast of. Per the latest figure, Bharat’s collection has reached to a total of Rs 201.86 cr by 2nd Tuesday.

The film released on June 5, 2019, on the festival occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. It properly utilized the holiday extended first-weekend, and collected Rs 100 cr in that period alone. The film is performing the best in North while it has slowed down in rest of the circuits. Yesterday, on 2nd Tuesday, it earned Rs 2.32 cr. (Check: Bollywood Box Office.)

The film has now entered the coveted Rs 200 cr club. Coming to the week-wise collection, Bharat minted Rs 180.05 cr in the extended week 1 of days, while collected just Rs 21.81 cr till Tuesday. It is now the biggest grosser of the year, highest opener for the actor, and second highest opener of Bollywood just behind Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan.

Now, the actor has three films in the Rs 300 cr club and three movies in the Rs 200 crore club. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat also stars Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover, Tabu, Jackie Shroff, and Sonali Kulkarni in important roles. It is now set to emerge as the HIT film by the end of second week. The film is trending in the weekdays, but collections are on the lower level. Speaking of its 15th day at the box office, Bharat has registered similar occupancy in the morning, noon, and evening shows as of Tuesday, yesterday.

There is a drop, but it’s less than 10%. So, it suggest that Bharat will earn somewhere around Rs 2 cr nett on 3rd Wednesday. The exact figures will be updated soon.
