In its extended five-day first weekend, the film earned over Rs 150 cr at the Indian BO. On its second day (Thursday), it minted Rs 31 cr, followed by Rs 22.20 cr on Friday, Rs 26.70 cr on Saturday, and Rs. 27.90 cr on Sunday.
Its business during this-week days will give an idea where the movie is heading towards, and its lifetime business. Today, on day 6, Bharat will become the second highest grosser of 2019. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, it stars Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Grover in important roles.
Initially, the role was offered to Priyanka Chopra, but she couldn’t do it due to her wedding to Nick Jonas in 2018. The film is an official remake of South Korean movie Ode to My Fatther by Yoon Je-kyoon. It features character’s journey in parallel to his country. Despite mixed reviews, the film is turning into a box office success.
The honeymoon period for Bharat seems over after enjoying the extended first weekend. The film has witnessed a significant drop on Monday. Speaking of its 7th day, Bharat has taken a slow start as far as Morning shows are concerned. There is still hope that its business will be picked up as the day progresses.
It opened to an average Morning occupancy of 13-14%. Compared to yesterday, it was around 18% on Monday. It simply means a drop of 25% in morning shows. In the afternoon, it increased to 20%.
Bharat 7th Day Collection – Rs. 8.30 cr (Updated)
Bharat 7 Days Box Office Collections – Rs. 167.50 cr (updated)
Overseas – Rs 48.61 cr ($7 million)
Worldwide – Rs 220 cr (nett)
Keeping it aside, the film has already earned over Rs 160 cr. From now on, even a decent performance will take it over 200 crore easily. With it, it will enter the HIT zone. After it has fared for around 7 days, we have got the initial hint. It’s not at par as previous Salman Khan films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan, or Tiger Zinda Hai.
Still, the business is huge and with 250 cr, it will be a super-hit film.
