Salman Khan starrer Bharat movie has been doing very well at the box office. In the first 6 days, its collection has crossed over Rs 160 cr mark. The film’s business on Monday was good, considering that it was its 6th day of release instead of the regular 4th day. It was released on past Wednesday, on the occasion of Eid. It is now another feather attached to the actor’s cap. Salman has become the Bollywood actor with most number of 100+ cr flicks. By collecting Rs 43.20 cr on its opening, Bharat became the second biggest opener ever. Also, it is now Salman’s highest opener. (Check: Upcoming Bollywood Movies.)

With it, once again, it has been proved that having Salman Khan as its lead actor almost promises to be a box office success. In its extended five-day first weekend, the film earned over Rs 150 cr at the Indian BO. On its second day (Thursday), it minted Rs 31 cr, followed by Rs 22.20 cr on Friday, Rs 26.70 cr on Saturday, and Rs. 27.90 cr on Sunday.

Its business during this-week days will give an idea where the movie is heading towards, and its lifetime business. Today, on day 6, Bharat will become the second highest grosser of 2019. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, it stars Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Grover in important roles.

Initially, the role was offered to Priyanka Chopra, but she couldn’t do it due to her wedding to Nick Jonas in 2018. The film is an official remake of South Korean movie Ode to My Fatther by Yoon Je-kyoon. It features character’s journey in parallel to his country. Despite mixed reviews, the film is turning into a box office success.

The honeymoon period for Bharat seems over after enjoying the extended first weekend. The film has witnessed a significant drop on Monday. Speaking of its 7th day, Bharat has taken a slow start as far as Morning shows are concerned. There is still hope that its business will be picked up as the day progresses.

It opened to an average Morning occupancy of 13-14%. Compared to yesterday, it was around 18% on Monday. It simply means a drop of 25% in morning shows. In the afternoon, it increased to 20%.

Keeping it aside, the film has already earned over Rs 160 cr. From now on, even a decent performance will take it over 200 crore easily. With it, it will enter the HIT zone. After it has fared for around 7 days, we have got the initial hint. It’s not at par as previous Salman Khan films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan, or Tiger Zinda Hai.

Still, the business is huge and with 250 cr, it will be a super-hit film.
