The latest Bollywood movie Bharat starring Salman Khan has been doing great at the worldwide box office. In the first 10 days, it has made a collection of around Rs 182.85 crores. The period drama made a record by collecting Rs 42.30 cr on its opening day. It became the second highest opener of Bollywood ever, just behind Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan which earned close to Rs 50 cr. Also, Bharat is now the biggest opening film for Salman. Yesterday, on its 11th day, Bharat managed to collect only Rs 3.75 crores. It will now be interesting to see how it fares amid other Indian films and two big Hollywood titles – X-Men: Dark Phoenix and Men in Black. Also, it’s the second weekend, so a jump will be seen. Let’s see how this weekend helps Bharat in improving its collection over the next two days. The directorial venture of Ali Abbas Zafar saw an exceptional extended first weekend. It has now become the highest grosser of 2019. Despite a drastic fall on its first Monday, the film managed to fare steadily in the weekdays with minimum drop over weekdays.
Upon its release Bharat was welcomed with mixed reviews from the critics. But, it couldn’t stop is from collecting a massive collection. Seeing such an overwhelming response, the actor thanked everyone via his official Twitter handle. Positive response from the audience made it possible.
Speaking of its 2nd Saturday, Bharat has seen a jump of over 50% in most of the places. And, the credit goes to being a weekend. At some places, there is reportedly a jump of over 70%. So, this is turning into a good news for the film. Coming to its morning shows occupancy, it opened to an average of 20%, which is 10% higher than last Friday.
