Bo Hopkins’ real full name was William Hopkins. He was born on February 2, 1942, in Greenville, SC. His father died when he was just 9. He changed his first name to Bo after playing the role in Bus Stop. It was his first off-Broadway play. Hopkins’ mother and grandmother raised the actor. Later on, he got to know that he was an adopted child, and went to meet his biological parents.
