Chhichhore has shown a big jump at the box office on the 1st weekend. Chichore collection has reached over Rs 19 crores in the first 2 days. Despite getting kinda good reviews, the film started on a slow note upon opening by earning Rs 7.32 cr. However, it grew on 2nd day (Saturday) and minted over Rs 12 cr.
It stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Prateik Babbar, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty, Tushar Pandey, and Saharsh Shukla in important roles. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari (Dangal fame), the film is expected to cross the mark of Rs 35 on its first weekend.
The movie showed growth of 67.35% on its second day (yesterday) compared to Friday. Chhichhore is the story of a few college students, and how their life transforms once they all graduate. The story of the film is broadly divided into two parts – the first one shows them as college students, and the second one features them as middle-aged people.
Sushant Singh Rajput plays the role of Anni, Shraddha Kapoor plays Maya, Varun Sharma plays Sexa, Tahir Raj Bhasin plays Derek, Naveen Polishetty plays Acid while Tushar Pandey plays Mummy. Saharsh Kumar Shukla plays the role of Bevda in the film. Sajid Nadiadwala has produced this film.
The growth in the film’s business has been seen due to good critics’ reviews and positive word of mouth. As of now, it is facing huge competition from Prabhas starrer Saaho. To emerge successful at the box office, Chichore has to attract more footfalls to theaters on Sunday. It has been made on a budget of Rs 70 crores.
Speaking of 3rd day of Chhichhore, the film has witnessed a bumper start as it registered an average occupancy of around 55-60% in the morning shows. It was 16% on Friday and 30-35% on Saturday. So, it’s a huge jump today as far as occupancy is concerned. Cinemas are experiencing houseful shows today.

The film will need to have a good hold on Monday to emerge as a HIT at the box office. The occupancy on Sunday evening shows went up to 75% which suggest that it will earn around Rs 16 cr for sure, unless the film falls drastically.
