Chhichhore starring Sushant Singh Rajput has been on a collection spree at the box office. In the first 5 days, Chichore has collected over Rs 50 crores. Despite getting good reviews from the critics, the film opened to a very average opening. However, it grew with the help of word of mouth. (Check: Saaho Box Office Collection.)

On its first day, Chhichhore opened to Rs 7.32 crores on Friday, followed by Rs 12.25 crores on Saturday, Rs 16 cr on Sunday, Rs 8.10 cr on Monday, and Rs 10.05 crores on Tuesday. The film’s collection increased owning to the audiences’ word of mouth. On this Tuesday, the movie earned more as it was a partial holiday due to Muharram.

It makes Chhichhore weekday collections as the 3rd best of 2019 after Uri: The Surgical Strike and Kabir Singh. In the first five days, it has made a total of Rs 52.50 crores in India. Considering the early trend and increase in business, it looks like the film has got a long way to go.

Apart from Sushant, the film stars Varun Sharma, Shraddha Kapoor, Naveen Polishetty, Prateik Babbar, and Tahir Raj Bhasin among others. It’s a story of a group of college friends who meet again after decades who meet again after decades. It is in two parts – one in which they are shown as college students, and the second one in their middle ages.

Chhichhore has been directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It is the second film for Shraddha in the theaters as of now. She is also in the lead role in Saaho opposite to Prabhas, which is her debut film into South Cinema. It looks like Shraddha is earning big.

Speaking of 6th day, Chhichhore started on a good note on 1st Wednesday. The occupancy is better than Friday and on par with Monday. It is going to get big in the later half of the day. The average occupancy was noted to be around 20% in the morning shows. It was 40-45% on Tuesday, yesterday.

It has crossed Rs 60 mark in the first six days.
