Chhichhore starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor has been making a consistent collection at the box office. In the first 6 days of release, the movie has collected over Rs 61 crores as per the reports provided by trade analyst Taran Adarsh. (Check: Saaho Box Office Collection.)
It has been proving to be a winning streak for the makers of the film. Despite opening to good reviews, the flick started on a low note, but its collections increased as the day passes. It happened due to the positive word of mouth from the audiences. On Monday, it earned more than what it minted on its first day (Friday).
On Tuesday & Wednesday, it collected more than its competitor Saaho starring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor, again. The weekday numbers has increased its probability of collecting Rs 100 crore or more in its lifetime run. Chhichhore is just Rs 40 crores away from achieving this target/ambitious number.
Tomorrow, Dream Girl – another big release is hitting the cinemas. So, Saaho and Chhichore’s competition will increase even higher. It will become tougher for both the films to remain steady in the business. On 1st Wednesday, it collected Rs 7.20 crores, making its 6 days total to Rs 61.33 crores in India.
Along with Dream Girl starring Ayushmann Khurrana, the courtroom drama Section 375 starring Akshayre Khanna and Richa Chadha will also release. Chhichhore is the first directorial venture of Nitesh Tiwari after his blockbuster film Dangal which starrer Aamir Khan in the lead role.
Chichhore star cast includes Varun Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin, and Naveen, among others. It is a story of a group of college friends who reunite years later and revisit old memories as one of their friends battles death at the hospital. This year (2019), it is Sushant’s second film after Sonchiriya which turned out to be a flop at the box office.

Speaking of 7th day of Chhichhore, the film started on a better note compared to Wednesday. It registered an average opening occupancy of around 30% in the morning shows. It was 20% on Wednesday, yesterday. It simply means that the film is trending among audiences.
Going by this trend, the film can easily go up and cross the mark of Rs 67 cr by the end of its first week. The occupancy increased up to 55% in the evening shows today.
