The season 2 of Domestic Girlfriend hasn’t been officially renewed yet, but we have some interesting updates regarding it. A large proportion of the fans who have already watched the first installment have been favoring the Natsuo-Hina ship. Truly speaking, the story in the first season was tailored to build up Natsuo and Hina’s love story. It was kind of against-all-odds spin. But, the installment ended on a sad note for them as they both ended up heartbroken. Then, Hina had to leave the city to go far away from her family. It happened because her relationship with Natsuo was revealed.
Natsuo was left shattered. However, Rui remained by his side. She told him that there are options out there for him to choose from, and to move forward in life leaving the past behind. If the season 2 of Domestic Girlfriend happens to be released, it will somehow complicate the romance between the three characters.
In the upcoming arcs, we will get to see what will Natsuo’s passion for becoming a commercial novelist make him do in future. Also, we will get to see what Rui will do complete his ambition of becoming a great chef. The forthcoming storyline will revolve around these two things.
As of now, Natsuo and Rui are separated for some time. But, they are gonna share lots of happy moments and struggles together in near future season. It will more than what Natsuo had experienced with Hina in the installment number 1. The future circumstances may even force the fans to think that Rui is not so bad of a partner for Natsuo after all.
However, there is still a proportion of fans who think that it’s too early to decide what’s going to happen next and who will be with Natsuo by the end of 2nd season. They are completely right at their place. The series has got one thing right. It is that the makers are keeping the love triangle alive along with the individual struggles of the characters.
The fate of Domestic Girlfriend second season is uncertain for now. If you are still eagerly waiting for the anime’s next part, you can feed your appetite with the manga.
Domestic Girlfriend Season 2 Release Date: renewed or canceled?
As we have told you in the beginning of this article, there has been no official update regarding the renewal or cancellation of the series yet. The Producers haven’t revealed anything yet. They have been mum for years. So, we don’t have any knowledge of their future plans.
On a sad note, the long time manga fans have been telling anime-only fans that the second season is not going to happen. Some people are of the opinion that the anime was introduced to give Domestic Girlfriend manga a broader audience for its popularity. However, until it is officially canceled, we can still hope for its revival/renewal.
