Ayushmann Khurran’s latest Bollywood movie Dream Girl has been performing extremely well at the box office. In the first 3 days (1st weekend), its collection has reached to a total of Rs 44.57 crores in India. It is giving a tough competition to Sushant Singh Rajput’s Chhichhore and Prabhas’s Sahoo. Dream Girl has set the Indian box office on fire as it collected Rs 18.10 crore on 3rd day (Sunday) alone. It opened with a collection of Rs 10.05 cr on Friday. Then, on Saturday, it earned Rs 16.42 crores. As per the tweet by Taran Adarsh, it is trending better than Alia Bhatt’s Raazi (Rs 32.94 cr), Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree (Rs 32.27 cr), and Vicky Kaushal’s Uri (Rs 35.73 cr) in the first week.
Besides sharing Dream Girl opening weekend collection, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh also shared Ayushmann’s other film’s first weekend collections. As of now, Badhaai Ho is at number one stop with a collection of Rs 45.70 crores while Dream Girl has made itself to the second spot.

The story of Dream Girl revolves around a boy named Karamveer Singh who loves to play female mythological characters in local stage shows. Due to poor financial conditions, he lives a double life as Puja, who speaks to people as their phone-pal for a living. The film also features Nushrat Bharucha, Annu Kapoor, and Vijay Raaz in important roles.
Speaking of its 4th day, Dream Girl started on a good note on its first Monday of release. As far as its morning shows occupancy is concerned, it has registered an average occupancy of around 20-22%. It is still a good number. The number was 25% on Friday morning shows.

The film has already emerged as a HIT film. Now, it will be interesting to see if the movie can attain the status of a super-hit or blockbuster in the coming days. The drop from Friday to today is not that significant. However, the ticket prices have been dropped today. Thus, there will be some drop in terms of business/revenue collection.
The film has crossed the mark of Rs 50 cr by the end of fourth day (first Monday). Any drop less than 40% from Friday is considered to be not bad. But, if the flick wants to go past Rs 100 crores, then it will have to remain close to Friday’s figures as much as possible.
