The season 3 of Dynasty is going to release this year. Earlier in 2019, The CW confirmed the news of renewal of majority of its series for 2019-20 season. The CW President Mark Pedwitz had confirmed it while speaking at a Television Critics Association presentation. (Check: Jessica Jones Season 4.)
Dynasty is a reboot of the 1980s classic which starred Joan Collins and John Forsythe. It features the melodramatic lives of the super-rich Carrington family and their energy empire, which remains under constant threat from the Colbys and numerous other rivals. It is set to continue when the show returns with new episodes.

The season 2 finale episode left a lot of loose ends hanging. So, we can expect most of the following in the upcoming installment of Dynasty series – Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies), Adam (Sam Underwood), the “real” (not original) Cristal (Ana Brenda Contreras) – Nathalie Kelley’s character was killed off – Blake (Grant Show), Jeff (Sam Adegoke), Michael (Robert Christopher Riley), Dominique (Michael Michele), Kirby (Maddison Brown), Joseph (Alan Dale), Monica (Wakeema Hollis) and Sammy Jo (Rafael De La Fuente).
In season 2, James Mackay had announced that his role on the show had changed. He had played Steven on the show since the beginning. He updated the same on his official Instagram account. In 2018, an insider told TVLine that Mackay will no longer be a series regular and would appear in fewer episodes in the future.
According to head writer Paula Sabbage, there is a part for Steven that he will need to perform in season three. He has been in a whole situation with his evil long-lost brother Adam. Also, he discussed his political career in future in season four, if renewed for the fourth installment.
We don’t know yet, if Liam (Adam Huber) is still alive or not as after being attacked by Adam, he was left floating face down in a swimming pool. Someone who is confirmed not to return is showrunner Sallie Patrick. She posted the same on her Instagram account annoucning her last episode as the season 2 finale.
This time, Josh Reims (Jane the Virgin, Dirty Sexy Money) has replaced her.
Dynasty Season 3 Release Date: When will it premiere?
The first two seasons premiered and started airing in October 2017 and 2018 respectively. So, expecting the similar yearly schedule, we can expect it to air in October 2019 for the third time. The show airs on both The CW and Netflix.
UPDATE: It will premiere on October 11, 2019, Friday at 9 pm ET.
Dynasty Season 3 Plot: What is going to happen?
There are a number of timelines/storylines that will be explored in the upcoming installment. They all will be revisited, but there are some that are more important than others.
The series bow out with two dead bodies discovered at the bottom of the Carrington lake – one was Trixie’s and other one was a male. That could possibly be of the hitman that Blake offed earlier in the series. Michael is imprisoned, having framed for committing the crimes that Blake is responsible for.
Also, there is the small matter of Liam’s fate following Adam’s attempts to silence him. Is he dead or still alive?

Officially, there is no promo video for the upcoming installment of Dynasty series. You can expect the same at the end of September 2019. Until then, you can always stream for the first two seasons on Netflix anytime.
