Good Newwz is enjoy a good collection at the box office on its 10th day (2nd Sunday) of release. Akshay Kumar starrer Good News is able to cross the mark of Rs 150 cr on its second weekend. It is faring well and continuing its dream run in India. On its 2nd Saturday (9th day), Good Newz collected Rs 11.70 cr.
Thus, it has made a total of Rs 147.70 crores in its first 9 days. As per the trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has got everything to enter the coveted 200 cr club. Besides Akshay, the Raj Mehta directorial stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani in pivotal roles.
The latest Bollywood film of Akshay opened with mostly good reviews from both the critics and the audiences. It has got a strong positive word of mouth. Owing to the film’s subject, the actor hopes that it will do an excellent job in pulling/attracting audiences to theaters. It’s getting most of its business from multiplexes.
Talking about the film’s success, the lead actor feels himself extremely overwhelmed with the kind of response, the movie is receiving. It is based on IVF treatment for which two couples with the common surname go to the clinic. The authorities ends up mixing their sperms leading to a series of errors.
The film has been running well not only in India but overseas too. Speaking of its second Sunday, Good Newwz has got a bigger start than 2nd Friday and 2nd Saturday. It means that a huge day is on cards. However, the night shows will see a dip as tomorrow, Monday is a regular working.
