After collecting a whooping Rs 19.40 crores on Thursday, Gully Boy is still faring well at the box office. The film starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt ruled the domestic ticket windows on Sunday and made a collection of Rs 20.50 crores on its 4th day in business. It has minted a total of more than Rs 71 crores in 4 days.

The movie directed by Zoya Akhtar has successfully completed its first weekend in run. On its 2nd day, the Gully Boy collections dipped to Rs 13.10 cr. But, it again soared high on Saturday and Sunday, and ended up collecting Rs 18.65 cr and Rs 20.50 cr respectively. The flick is getting major attention from the metro cities.’

The film hasn’t been able to attract the mass audience. Not only in domestic level, the movie is faring well in the international markets too. In USA and Canada alone, it has earned over $1.5 million which converts to around Rs 10.70 crores. In other locations also, it is earning well like UAE+GCC: $ 894k [₹ 6.38 cr] UK: £ 181,307 [₹ 1.67 cr] Australia: A$ 320,435 [₹ 1.63 cr] NZ+Fiji: NZ$ 83,588 [₹ 40.94 lakhs].

Gully Boy revolves around an aspiring rapper Murad who beats all odds to make a name for himself in the industry. Alia portrays his girlfriend who is a medical students and wants to become a surgeon. She has her own share of struggles in life. The film’s story is loosely inspired from Mumbai rappers Divine and Naezy.

Upon its release, the film garnered good reviews and positive word of mouth from the audiences. Now, speaking of Gully Boy’s business, the film needs to have a stronghold in the coming days to emerge out as a HIT. And also to match the collections of Ranveer’s previous films like Simmba.

On its 5th day, Gully Boy has opened to an average occupancy of around 20-21%. The drop is over 50% from Thursday and around 10-15% from Friday. Moreover, the ticket prices have been slashed today, so the overall collections are going to be low than before. By the end of Monday, we will have an idea to what direction the film is heading on.

Overall, Gully Boy should make a collection of around Rs 10 crores on its 5th day at the box office. The exact numbers will be updated soon.
