High Seas has been renewed for a season 2, and it’s a good news for the fans. The Spanish period drama is going to come once again. There have been reports suggesting its renewal by Netflix, the streaming giant. Netflix has really made some money out of some of the best Spanish series in the recent times. Speaking of specifics, sourcing some of the best Spanish period dramas such as Grand Hotel and Velvet had been a great time for the streaming platform. With Cable Girls, it was Netflix’s first foray into the genre. It will be coming back with season 4.

In the series, there are a total of 8 episodes. It will feature the cast setting sail on a luxury ship, but it won’t be a complete safe and silent voyage. A number of murders on the voyage. The storyline is set in the 1940s and is exclusive to Netflix across the globe. Netflix added its first season on May 24, 2019.

High Seas Season 2 Renewal Status: Has Netflix Renewed It?

There has been no official word as of writing this, but there have been reports suggesting that it has already been renewed. In Spain, there are a number of outlets that have reported season 2 being in development.

A new daily, Marca has confirmed the same that the series is returning for a second season. An actress for the Netflix show has also spoken about it and where it can lead in the next installment. She said that if they opened plots and mysteries in the first one, then there is going to be another thing in the second as it hasn’t remained the same.

For now, there is no official confirmation from the Netflix themselves. But, two good sources saying it has been renewed, it pretty much means that renewal has been done.

High Seas Season 2 Release Date: When will it premiere?

As there has no official word on HS season 2 release, it probably means that we are going to see it in 2020, at the earliest. It also make sense because the show would like to stick to an annual schedule. If it happens so, it means that we can expect in May 2020.

Director & Who are all behind the camera?

Ramon Campos and Gema R Neira directed the first installment of High Seas. It was adapted from a script by them. They did it along with Daniel Martin Serrano, Curro Naovallas, and Jose Antonio Valverde.

Carlos Sedes is directing the series who happens to be its Executive Producer as well. Teresa Fernandez Valdes and Campos are its co-producers. After making shows like Las chicas del cable and Farina successful, the team is coming back for more.

Campos said that they are happy to collaborate with Netflix. It is going to their third project in the partnership together. Jacobo Martinez is its cinematographer. Campos and Martinez are responsible for awesome shows like Gran Hotel, Velvet or Las chicas del cable.
