Kabir Singh, the latest Bollywood movie starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in lead roles, has been enjoying a good collection at the worldwide box office. Upon its release, it got mixed reviews from the critics, but it couldn’t stop the film from doing exceptionally well. (Check: Venom 2.)

It witnessed an overwhelming first weekend collections. After an expected drop on Monday, Kabir Singh sustained its momentum at the BO on Tuesday too. The directorial venture of Sandeep Vanga Reddy entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club on its 5th day. The film was released on 3123 screens in India, and collected Rs 16.53 crores on day 5.

In the first five days, the film’s collection has reached to a total of Rs 104.90 crore. The flick opened to Rs 20.21 cr on Friday, followed by Rs 22.71 cr on Saturday, Rs 27.91 cr on Sunday, Rs 17.54 cr on Monday. Going by the trend, it looks like it is eyeing for Rs 130 cr or more in the first week.

The film is now supposed to become a blockbuster. Kabir Singh is an official remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy which starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead roles. It became the biggest opener in Shahid’s career overtaking SLB’s Padmaavat.

Despite many hurdles, the film has emerged to become the third highest opener of 2019. Salman Khan’s Bharat has become the highest opener for the year by collecting Rs 42.30 crores on its first day. (Check: Bharat Box Office Collection.)

Kabir Singh has been made on an average budget of Rs 60 crore including Production and Advertising cost. Speaking of the overseas collection, it has already earned $1.7 million (~Rs 11.77 crores) by the end of first three days of its release. It is now the 7th highest opening weekend of 2019 in overseas market.

Speaking of the 6th day, Kabir Singh has opened to a good occupancy. The morning shows’ occupancy was reported to be around 40-45% which translates to a very good number considering that it close to completing its first week. The figure is very close to what it was for Tuesday.

So, we can expect it to collect somewhere around Rs 16 cr on Wednesday, today. If it all goes well, it could also earn Rs 200 crore or more in its lifetime run.
