Simmba has started on a good note on its 1st day at the box office. So, it will be interesting to see the Simmba’s opening collection (Friday). Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty have teamed up for the first time for their Bollywood venture. We are expecting some fireworks at the big screen. (check: kgf 8th day collection.)
Ranveer had a very good start this year with Padmaavat as far as its business was concerned. There were other controversies around it. Let’s just keep them aside. Speaking of Ranveer’s latest Hindi movie Simmba, it has got a good start in the Morning as per the samples received. (check: simmba 2nd day collection.)
As far as occupancy rate is concerned, Simmba has opened to an occupancy of 35% in the morning shows. It can be considered as a good start as film has witnessed a wide release throughout India. Friday being a regular working day, the film is expected to see a good growth in the later part of the day.
If early reports are to be believed, then the growth would be a big positive. There is not point in doubting about Simmba’s first day collection at the box office. The fate of the movie will be decided over the extended opening weekend. It will be clear soon that how big it would grow.
If the film managed to get anything more than 15 crores, it would be a milestone for its campaign. And if the movie managed to get over 20 crores, it would be outstanding for its business. The film has seen a good opening not only in India, but overseas too.
Simmba 1st day collection – Rs 21 crores (updated) nett
Australia – AU$180,253 = Rs. 88 lakhs (approx)
One thing is sure that the film will cross the double figures. Besides Ranveer, the film stars Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood in lead roles with cameos by Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar among others. The movie-goers are keenly looking forward to the crime-drama film after the massive debacle of Zero starring Shahrukh Khan.
