Spider-Man: Far From Home’s new trailer spoils Avengers: Endgame, joins hands with Mysterio

After the release of Avengers: Endgame, here’s the trailer for MCU’s upcoming movie Spider-Man: Far From Home. Sony has released the promo for the film for this sequel. The flick takes place after the events of the Avengers film. If you haven’t watched it yet, you should stop now as it contains major Endgame’s spoilers. (Check: Prince Harry’s baby.)

In the 3-minute trailer, Peter Parker and Happy Hogan are featured grieving the loss of Tony Stark. He perished at the end of Endgame. Then, Spiderman tells the police officers that he is going on vacation with his friends. These police officers seems to have been resurrected since its appears Ned, Michelle Jones, and Flash Thompson.

In the next shot, Parker avoids a phone call from Nick Fury, though Hogan tries to convince him to pick the call. But, we see in the next clip that Fury and Maria Hill introduce Parker to Quentin Beck, who appears to be from another dimension. Fury recruits Parker from his European trip.

So, the trailer basically confirms that multiverse exists in MCU. From one of the Earth of the multiverse comes Beck. It was apparently caused by Thanos’ snap that created a hole in the dimension. It probably made an easier way to go from one dimension to another.

Parker seems determined to go back on the trip, Fury made him stop saying that other heroes like Thor and Captain Marvel aren’t available right now. And it’s also wasn’t obvious enough that Spiderman is the only available option to deal with threats to Earth.

In the teaser, we get to see Mysterio flying through the city, Spider-Man fighting a fiery Molten Man, and Hogan tries to rescue Parker’s friends. Hogan tells Parker’s friends that he works with Spidey.

In this dimension, Mysterio is a ‘bad guy’ as evident from the comic books. In the trailer, it seems that Spidey is getting a European buddy-comedy this time. So, it arises a lot of questions in the minds of the fans. Let’s wait and see if it’s actually true or not.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film:

Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!

The multiverse was rumored earlier some time. But, it was lately fueled by an interview wherein Joe Russo confirmed that Ned was also dusted due to the Snap. So, the two- Peter and Ned are seeing each other for the first time after they were disappeared.

There is a lot of speculations around the name of the film. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige likes the idea.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is to release on July 2, 2019 in theaters.
