Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 has broken the collection record of Gully Boy. In the first 28 days or 4 weeks at the box office, Super30 has collected Rs 140.44 crores while Ranveer and Alia starrer had earned Rs 140.25 cr in the same number of days. (Check: Nerkonda Paarvai Collection.)
Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 has now become the 6th highest grosser of 2019. The list in the descending order goes like this Kabir Singh, Uri: The Surgical Strike, Bharat, Kesari, and Total Dhamaal ahead of S30. It’s going to be month since the film was released at the silver screen.
Despite running for that many number of days at the BO, it is still collecting moolah from the theatres nationwide. As per the reports provided by Bollywood Hungama, the Vikas Bahl directorial has crossed the mark of Rs 200 cr worldwide. Its collection stands at Rs 201.66 crores, and has earned $5.038 million in the overseas market.

Super 30 is based on the life of Bihar based mathematician Anand Kumar. The film has attracted the eyeballs of the moviegoers due to its storyline. It has got positive response and plaudits because of its reality and heart-touching story. Anand Kumar has earned nationwide recognition for providing free IIT-JEE entrance exam coaching to underprivileged children.
Anand Kumar has named his institution Super 30 as he takes only 30 students every year for the said coaching. And it has been a record since its inception that almost all of the 30 students successfully cracked the engineering entrance examinations. The movie has also got the same name from the institution.
Being a heart-touching story and based on a good cause, the movie has been declared tax free in several states. On a good note, it’s a good news and a plus point for the film’s business. But, it’s still a business for the filmmakers. They always make films that seems profitable to them.
Besides Hrithik, the film stars Mrunal Thakur, Virendra Saxena, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Srivastava, Manav Gohil, and Amit Sadh. This Friday, i.e., on August 9, 2019, it’s going to clash with Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra starrer Jabariya Jodi.
In the first four weeks, Super 30 has defeated all its rivals in the box office tussle had it been Kangana Ranaut’s Judgemental Hai Kya or Diljit Dosanjh’s Arjun Patiala. As a result, it has emerged as a successful film of July 2019. Moreover, it has overshadowed Sonakshi Sinha’s Khandaani Shafakhana which released on August 2, 2019.
