What news came about The Dragon Prince season 3 at WonderCon?

We did get to learn a few things about what’s going to happen. But, the information was just a handful. As per the CBR report, Dragon Prince co-creator Aaron Ehasz said that the upcoming season is going to be a huge one. He also added that it will break the fans in good and bad ways.

Ehasz didn’t go into much detail, but he did unveil that Callum will disguise himself as an elf in Dragon Prince season 3. It kinda makes sense as he was going to enter into elf territory after crossing the border into Xadia along with Rayla and Azymondias aka Zym, the baby dragon at the end of season 2.

It also sounds like a fun twist on the class Human Rayla disguise that we got to see in the previous seasons. The official Twitter account for the series also shared an animated version of the DP season 3 poster featuring how it was created and edited. On an interesting note, the early versions featured Rayla.

There have been speculations from the fans that Callum’s absence from early versions of the poster could be a bad news for the human prince. You shouldn’t take this image as canonical. Also, you shouldn’t also get too worried about Callum or Rayle for now.

It sounds like a stressful production schedule, but as per Ehasz the Dragon Prince team is ready for the situation. He also added that the team knows where the story is headed in season 3 and beyond. According to him, they have a clear vision on what they want to do with the story.

They seem to have got a strong appetite or even stronger than the last time. Netflix also appears to be energized as far as this series is concerned. Season 3 finds Rayla and Callum finally at the cusp of entering Xadia, while young Ezran returns home to take his place on the throne. Meanwhile, Lord Viren begins to realize the influence and power of his new ally – the mysterious Startouch elf, Aaravos. As several storylines unfold in big ways, this season will be massively epic.

After it, everyone is just speculating for now. The season 3 can go in various directions from here on. One possibility that can take place is that The Dragon Prince could feature more flashbacks just like it did in season 2. It saw Callum and Ezran’s mother as a powerful warrior queen and her death cause was revealed.

The season 3 of The Dragon Prince could also push the show forward while also continuing to show the flashbacks to expand the show’s world in a number of exciting new ways.
