Vicky Kaushal starrer military war drama Uri: The Surgical Strike has made the collection of Rs 50 crore from Mumbai alone. It is a true success of the movie at the box office because most of the mid-range films struggle to collect even Rs 50 cr from the domestic market. It’s not all the debutant Aditya Dhar’s directorial has minted Rs 25 crore from Delhi and UP regions. (check: Manikarnika 1st weekend collection.)

As per the reports, Uri movie has managed to collect Rs 150 cr in the domestic market. With it, the film has become the highest grossing mid-budget movie. It has surpassed the lifetime collections of Kangana Ranaut starrer Tanu Weds Manu Returns. Speaking of Uri’s 3rd Friday and Saturday collection, it has earned Rs 4.40 cr and Rs 9.75 cr respectively. (Read: Thackeray first weekend collection.)

The trade experts hope that Uri can touch the mark of Rs 200 cr without much difficulty. If it happens, it will prove to become a game changer. It has done a phenomenal business. There have been reports saying that more people came to watch Uri in its 2nd week than Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba, Deepika Padukone’s Padmaavat, and Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju. These are the top three grosser of 2018.
