Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri – The Surgical Strike has refused to slow down at the box office. In the first 19 days of business, it has made a collection of more than $4.8 million from the international market. It converts to around Rs 34.63 crores by the end of 3rd Tuesday. The military drama is already a HIT film, to say the least. (Read: Thackeray 6th day collection.)

It has done a remarkable business not only in India, but overseas too. From the USA+Canada, it has minted $2.744 million while the UAE+GCC market has made $1.07 million for the film. It has collected $526k, $202k, and $171k from Australia, UK, and Singapore regions, respectively. Also, it has amassed relatively small amount of $89k, $37k, $12k, and $10k from New Zealand, South+East Africa, Fiji, and Poland, respectively.

The global audience has accepted the war drama. It has been doing an earth shattering business in India. By the 19th day run, Uri has managed to collect Rs 164 cr from the domestic box office. There are huge expectations from the film. It can even touch the mark of 200 crore in the coming days. It was made on medium budget of Rs 50 cr.

Aditya Dhar has written and directed it. Besides Vicky, Uri also stars Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam, Mohit Raina, Kirti Kulhari, and Rajit Kapur in important roles. Ronnie Screwvala has produced it under the banner of RSVP Movies. It was released alongside Anupam Kher starrer The Accidental Prime Minister on January 11, 2019. Its released garnered mixed reviews from the film critics.

In the 3rd week, Uri has collected Rs 4.40 cr, Rs 9.75 cr, Rs 9.20 cr, Rs 3.40 cr, and Rs 3.32 cr on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, respectively. As far as its 20th day collection is concerned, Uri has got the similar occupancy rate in the morning shows on Wednesday. So, it would earn close to Rs 3 cr today, making its 20 days total collection to Rs 167 cr (approx).

This past week’s releases are doing good at the box office. Manikarnika and Thackeray has collected close to Rs 56 cr and Rs 30 cr respectively.
