Dutt’s latest film is the official remake of Telugu film of the same name. The movie is set in a political backdrop. Deva Katta who directed the original movie has also directed this Hindi remake. In the film, Sanjay plays the role of a MLA Mr Baldev Pratap Singh. Apart from Sanjay, the film also stars Jackie Shroff (Badshah), Manisha Koirala (wife), Ali Faizal (step-son), and Satyajeet Dubey (Vivaan, Singh’s son).

You should note that the original film in Telugu was about three hours, but the Hindi remake has a runtime of just 2 hours 20 minutes. Based on the early trends, it seems that the film will be able to collect somewhere around Rs 2 crores on its first Friday. It registered an opening occupancy of around 10-12% in the morning shows.
