Ranveer Singh starring latest Bollywood movie Simmba is going to touch Rs 400 crore collection mark at the worldwide box office. Sara Ali Khan starrer has been performing very well at the domestic and overseas markets. So far, the film has grossed over 239.18 cr in India by the end of first month. Now, it is going to cross the mark of Rs 100 cr in the foreign markets. (Check: Uri 17th day collection.)
In the first 30 days of release, Ranveer’s Simmba has broke the lifetime collections of Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan, Shahrukh Khan starrer Zero, and Race 3 starring Salman Khan. It has also surpassed the earnings of Hindi version of Hollywood’s Avengers: Infinity War. The film of Marvel studio has collected more than Rs 227 cr in 10 weeks.
Simmba minted more than this amount in just four weeks. The film directed by Rohit Shetty managed to earn Rs 150.81 cr, Rs 61.62 cr, Rs 20.06 cr, and Rs 6.18 crores in the first week, second week, third week, and fourth week respectively. Now, it’s going to enter the esteemed club of 400 cr soon. Worldwide, Simmba has grossed Rs 385 cr approx.
As per the reports, the movie faced 70 percent drop in its fourth week compared to third week in terms of its collection. Now, Simmba is facing stiff competition from the newer releases like Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike, The Accidental Prime Minister starring Anupam Kher, Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Thackeray.
All these new releases are based on real incidents that took place in the past. Simmba – the movie directed by Rohit Shetty got mixed reviews from the critics, mostly positive, while fans have loved the film entirely. The word of mouth and positivity can be seen through the collections. The film is about a corrupt cop named Sangram “Simmba” Bhalerao who comes to righteous path after living an unethical life.
Besides Ranveer and Sara, Simmba stars Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, and Siddharth Jadhav in important roles. Apart from it, there are some cameos Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Golmaal actors. In the 5th week, the film has earned Rs 12 lakhs and Rs 33 lakhs on fifth Friday and Saturday respectively.
As far as 5th weekend collection is concerned, Simmba has collected Rs 55 lakhs (to be updated).
