Dream Girl starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha is seeing a good opening at the box office. As per the early estimates, DG is off to a collection of initial double digits. Directed by Raaj Shandilya, DreamGirl will probably become Ayushmaan’s biggest opening day grosser. (Check: Chhichhore Collection.)
The early reports suggest a good start with morning occupancy of around 30% on an average. It is the best start that smaller films have seen this year (2019). The morning numbers are better than that of Chhichhore. However, the last week release picked up in the evening.
Moreover, the film has seen the best start ever for an Ayushmann Khurrana starrer. Ayushmann’s last year release ‘Badhaai Ho’ was released on a holiday and thus it started on a good note, but this film Dream Girl is witnessing a far better opening and that too on a non-holiday day.
For 2019, the film stands on number 8 in terms of the top openings (morning occupancy). As of now, Salman Khan’s Bharat is at number one spot with an average morning occupancy of 60%. Dream Girl is expected to register a good first weekend collection. But for it to happen, the movie should get a good figure on its opening.
The opening day collection must be in double digits if the film has to register a good number in its 1st week itself. So, for it, the flick must see an increase in the evening shows. Besides Ayushmann and Nushrat, the film also stars Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Abhishek Bannerjee, Manjot Singh, Nidhi Bisht, Rajesh Sharma, and Raj Bhansali among others.
Raaj Shandilya has also written the script for the film. He is making his directorial debut with this Bollywood venture. Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, and Aashish Singh have produced this film. Most of the critics have given positive reviews to the movie.

If this film gets HIT at the box office, then Ayushmann will become the actor to give six consecutive hit films in a row. His previous five films are Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Savdhaan, Badhaai Ho, Andhadhun, and Article 15.
