Yash starrer KGF has been holding well on its 9th day of business at the box office even after the release of much-anticipated Simmba starring Ranveer Singh. The collection and occupancy have been dropped around 50% as the screens were also reduced to make space for the newer releases. Still, the Kannada movie has managed to make a name for itself in the Indian film industry. (check: zero ninth day collection.)
KGF had released on a total of 1500 screen. Now, its screen count has been reduced to 780 in the second week. Despite losing over 50% of the screens, the film is still holding well at the BO and earned Rs 1.25 crores yesterday (8th day). Thus, the movie has collected around Rs 22.70 crores (Hindi version) in its first 8 days of run. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh said that Kolar Gold Fields has made a healthy number of second Friday.
On Saturday and Sunday, KGF box office collection will increase for sure as per the trend seen for movies. In India, speaking of its all versions, KGF has collected over Rs 100 crore so far. While, it has earned more than Rs 120 crores at the worldwide BO. Looking at its stronghold during the weekdays, it should witness a good growth on its second Saturday. As the trend suggests, it should cross the mark of Rs 150 crore by the end of its second week. Soon, it will emerge as a hit in the industry. Shahrukh Khan starrer Zero has lost its shine in front of Yash’s film. However, after Simmba’s release, KGF’s collection will experience a little slowdown. It is still faring well in Mumbai circuit if compared to other Hindi regions.
