Taylor Hawkins funeral: On Sunday, the Red Hot Chili Peppers dedicated their set at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival to the late drummer Taylor Hawkins. The Foo Fighters were in attendance, as were Hawkins’ family members, to witness the tribute. (check: Kailia Posey cause of death.)

Taylor Hawkins funeral was an important part of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ latest show because Taylor was an inseparable part of the band. Taylor remained a part of RHCP for almost 22 years starting from 1999.

Taylor passed out in a hotel room before a show in Bogota. He was later declared dead by the medical professionals. According to an investigation, almost 10 foreign substances which could be responsible for his death were found in his body.

Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith gave a speech at the end of the group’s Jazz Fest performance, which was played in front of the Foo Fighters band and family members. In it, he honored Hawkins and praised him for his talent and influence.

In the wake of Taylor Hawkins’ death, Foo Fighters canceled all other gigs and pulled out of their Jazz Fest appearance. RHCP stepped up to fill their headlining slot in New Orleans on Sunday.

Chad Smith continues to honor Hawkins by using a bass drum featuring “Taylor” emblazoned within a hawk in a similar fashion to one of Hawkins’ tattoos. Red Hot Chili Peppers closed out the Festival Stage on Sunday at Jazz Fest’s first of two weekends.

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival returned to the Fairgrounds this past weekend after nearly two years of postponements and indecisiveness due to the pandemic.

Smith and RHCP bandmates vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, and guitarist John Frusciante jumbled live staples and five songs from their lately released Unlimited Love LP. The band had a few stunners in store for the crowd in New Orleans as Blood Sugar Sex Magik gem “If You Have To Ask”.

Several reports suggest that Taylor Hawkins’ net worth was around $40 million. Most of the money came from the collaboration with Morissette, Foo Fights and his side projects.

Taylor Hawkins Cause of Death

According to the reports of Colombian investigators, Hawkins body had opioids, marijuana, and other drugs at the time of his death. As per the toxicology report, his body was filled with 10 substances which included anti-depressants. However, the exact cause of death of Taylor Hawkins is not known yet. The mix of drugs could be a factor. The 50-year-old drummer died at a hotel in Bogota.
