Bharat movie starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif is making good collection at the box office everyday since its release. On 2nd day, it collected Rs 31 cr while on its 1st day, it had minted a whopping Rs 42.30 crores. With it, it became the biggest opener for Salman & Katrina, and the second highest opener in Bollywood ever. (Check: Upcoming Bollywood Movies 2019.)

On Wednesday, it was the Eid holiday that made it earn that much. A good chunk of movies fail to earn that much in their lifetime which is earned on its opening. But, Thursday was just a regular working day, and it still managed to do a very good business. So, it seems that it has refused to slow down.

The directorial venture of Ali Abbas Zafar has made over Rs 73 crores in its first two days of run at the Indian BO alone. Though it started on a slow note yesterday, it increased to around 70% occupancy rate in the evening and night shows. Upon its release, it got a mixed bag of reviews.

Meanwhile, Hollywood’s big franchise’s next film X-Men: Dark Phoenix starring Sophie Turner in the lead role also released alongside Bharat. It got a screen count of around 1480 in India and earned Rs 3.10 crores on its first day. Whereas, Salman’s movie has got over 4300 screens in India and close to 1700 screens overseas.

It has also become the highest overseas of this year beating Akshay Kumar’s Kesari which collected around $2 million in its first week of release. Sultan was also a mid-week release and collected $3.1 million on day 1, but it had more buzz and was also released in Pakistan.

Bharat 3rd Day Collection

Before starting, you should note that it is coming from a national holiday (Eid ul-Fitr) and then partial holiday on Thursday, so a drop on Friday/3rd day is expected.

On Friday, today, it started with on a slow note as it just registered an average occupancy of around 18% in the morning shows. But, eventually, it increased to over 40% in the noon shows as the family audience started to come out to watch the Bharat movie. The occupancy is okayish. Further, it increased to over 60% in the evening and night shows.

It had experienced similar trends yesterday, but increased as the day progressed. The film is still in the race and has the chances to become the grand box office success worldwide. The early trends are suggesting that it would earn around Rs 28 crores. Thus, making Bharat 3 days total collection close to 102 crores.

It couldn’t cross the mark of Rs 100 cr on its 3rd day. But, Bharat will do it for sure on its 4th day.
