Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Chhichhore has proved to be a successful Bollywood venture for him. In the first 13 days, the film has made a total collection of Rs 105.79 crores till Wednesday. Despite relatively good reviews from the critics, it opened to just Rs 7.32 cr as that time Saaho was ruling the box office. (Check: Dream Girl Collection.)
After a week of its release, the film got a tough competitor in form of Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Dream Girl. Chhichhore is still steady at the BO in India. Even in this cut-throat competition, Sushant starrer Chhichore is still making its fare share of profit in the business. It has already crossed the 100-cr mark.
Chhichhore witnessed a good second weekend as it collected Rs 9.42 cr on Saturday and Rs 10.47 cr on its 2nd Sunday. On Monday, as expected, it saw a downfall in its collections and ended up earning just Rs 4.02 cr on Monday followed by Rs 4.11 cr on Tuesday. Then, again on Wednesday, it saw further drop and minted Rs 3.30 cr.
Besides Sushant Singh Rajput, Chhichhore also stars a versatile cast including Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty, Saharsh Kumar Shukla, and Tushar Pandey among others. The story revolves around a group of college buddies who meet in their middle ages when one of them needs others help.
The film, Chhichhore reminds us of our college days when different characters explore friendships in a hostel. Then, after graduating and getting good jobs, they all get busy in their lives – personal and professional. It won’t be a good idea to compare it with old classic campus dramas like Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander and 3 Idiots.
The film is a hit among millennials. Speaking of its 14th day, Chhichhore registered an occupancy of around 13-15% as far as the morning shows are concerned. It was around 16% on Wednesday yesterday. Again, the drop is minimal. It could see a big jump in occupancy in the evening.

It could cross the 110-mark by the end of week 2. A lifetime collection of Rs 125 cr seems almost certain now. It will be interesting to see if it can touch the magical mark of Rs 150 cr or not.
