Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra has been discharged after four days of being hospitalized. The reason for Dharmendra’s hospitalization was muscle pull in his back. He was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital while shooting for Karan Johar’s upcoming movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
On Sunday, May 1, 2022, Dharmendra confirmed the news of him being discharged from hospital and recovering at his home. He informed everyone by releasing a video on Twitter. In it, he is seen informing and thanking his fans, followers, and well wishers for their good wishes and blessings.
What Happened to Dharmendra?
In the video shared on Twitter, Dharmendra revealed what happened to him. According to the latest news/updates, he had suffered a big muscle pull in the back. That’s why Dharmendra was hospitalised. In the same clip, he is seen asking fans not to pay much attention relating to his health as he is very much alive. The veteran actor promised to remain more careful in the future.

In January 2022, Dharmendra had released a video of him being given the COVID-19 (coronavirus) booster dose (vaccine). Through that video, he urged everyone to take the required doses as per the schedule and plan laid out by the Indian government. His daughters and sons including Sunny Deol and Esha Deol commented on the post.
Dharmendra’s Upcoming Movies
Speaking of his upcoming film, the veteran Bollywood actor will be next seen in the sequel of the 2007 movie Apne. He will be seen working with his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol along with his grandson Karan Deol. Besides Apne, he is also busy shooting for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Slated to release in February 2023, it will feature Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, and Shabana Azmi too.
Recently, Dharmendra had an interview with The Times Of India in which he had praised his co-stars Alia and Ranveer for their nature and work related commitments.
