Man With a Plan, the multi-camera sitcom has been renewed by CBS. It will be coming back for a season 4 soon. It features former Friends star LeBlanc as old-school family-guy Adam Burns. He is into construction business with his wife Andi (Liza Snyder). The work involves Adam’s brother and friend Lowell. (Check: Designated Survivor Season 4.)

LeBlanc is the executive producer of the show along with Jeff and Jackie Filgo, Michael Rotenberg, Troy Zien, Gregg Mettler, and CBS Television Studios. The series’ season 3 premiered on February 4, 2019. CBS renewed a number of shows including FBI, God Friended Me, Mom, Young Sheldon, Magnum, PI, and Criminal Minds.

Mom and Young Sheldon have been renewed for two seasons at once. CBS has picked up four comedies for the 2019-2020 season. It includes the multi-cams – Carol’s Second Act, Broke, and Bob Hearts Abishola, and the single-cam The Unicorn.

“Carol’s Second Act” stars “Everybody Loves Raymond” alum Patricia Heaton, while “The Unicorn” stars Walton Goggins. Goggins starred in the network’s “LA Confidential” pilot last season, which was passed over despite receiving considerable praise internally. “Bob Hearts Abishola” is co-written and executive produced by CBS mainstay Chuck Lorre.

Though Man With a Plan has never a breakout series, it has been decent and pretty consistent ratings performer. It has averaged a 1.1 rating in the adults 18-49 demo and 6.3 million total viewers (most current). Adding a fourth season would have the studios to sell in syndication.

In Man With a Plan, LeBlanc plays Adam who confronts the modern challenges of parenting, marriage, and family. He has a self-assured wife, Andi who has gone back to work. This situation forces him to deal with the startling discovery that his three school-age ‘little angels’ are maniacs.

He runs the contracting business with his troublesome brother, Don. Averaging a 0.9 demo rating, Man With a Plan ranked fifth among all CBS sitcoms this season, behind The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Mom and The Neighborhood. It airs on Monday at 8:30 pm ET.
