Sujeeth’s directorial Saaho has been doing fantastic collection at the worldwide box office, both India and overseas. Sahoo stars Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor as the lead pair. It’s a multilingual film released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam at the same time. The movie opened with an opening collection of Rs 100 cr WW gross.
In India itself, Saho earned around Rs 68 crores. It continued the similar run on its 2nd day of release, and the estimates say that it collected Rs 50 cr on Saturday. The early trends are suggesting a fantastic first weekend on the cards. It is a massive film made on a whooping budget of Rs 350 cr.
In the first two days, Saaho has already grossed Rs 200 crores worldwide. Speaking of the Hindi version only, Sahoo has collected Rs 25.20 cr on second day making its total collection to Rs 49.02 crores. The opening collection of Saaho broke several records beating Avengers: Endgame (Rs 53 cr) and Thugs of Hindostan (Rs 52 cr).
But, Saho failed to surpass the record created by Baahubali: The Conclusion. The Hindi version of Prabhas and Shraddha starrer became the 3rd highest Hindi opener of 2019 after Bharat (Rs 42.30 cr) and Mission Mangal (Rs 29.16 cr). It also stars Jackie Shroff, Chunkey Pandey, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, and others.
The buzz and excitement surround the film got the complete benefit at the box office windows. The film had a humoungous hype as it’s the first film for Prabhas post Baahubali success. Baahubali franchise brought him to the international fame and scene. Bahubali 2 collected Rs 121 cr on the first day.
The movie has been produced by Vamsi Krishna Reddy, and its story revolves around a deadly power struggle between gangs in the fictional city of Waaji, post demise of their leader. In the meantime, the Mumbai police is behind the gangsters. But, who can be trusted, and who can’t, is left for the audience to find out.
Speaking of the 3rd day collection of Saaho, the film has taken a massive start on Sunday (first weekend) too. The occupancy has been registered better than both the previous days, Friday and Saturday. It has registered an opening occupancy of about 60% as far as the morning shows are concerned.
Upon its release, Saaho garnered mixed reviews from the both the critics and the audience. However, it is evidently not hampering its growth. Its Hindi dubbed version has already reached the mark of Rs 50 cr, and will cross the mark of Rs 75 cr with ease. However, its Tamil and Telugu versions are being preferred.
