It looks like there is no stopping for Ranveer and Sara’s film Simmba at the box office. It has reached into its 10th day of release. The movie got around 50% growth on yesterday compared to 2nd Friday. So, it becomes interesting to see how much collection it would make on its 2nd Sunday and second weekend. Rohit Shetty directorial is on winning streak. Yesterday, it earned about Rs 13.5 cr making Simmba 9 days collection to Rs 163 crores. (check: Zero 3rd weekend collection.)

Trade Analysts are of the favor that Simbha will be able to collect Rs 200 cr by the end of its second week. It doesn’t seem very far away dream. Speaking of the overseas collections, the film has collected $9 million which approximates to Rs 63.22 cr in the first eight days of international business. On 2nd Friday, it earned $0.683 million. Simmba is now Rohit’s 8th consecutive film to enter the 100 cr club. The director, the producer, and the actor congratulated each other on the film’s success.

Simmba is now Ranveer’s highest opener as it opened to a collection of Rs 20.72 cr on the first day. By the end of 2nd Saturday, it has become the fourth highest grosser of 2018 after Sanju (Rs 341 cr), Padmaavat (Rs 300 cr), and 2.0 (Rs 191 cr). Despite getting mixed reviews from the critics, the film is getting the love of audience. The positive word of mouth has resulted into the film’s success. Shahrukh Khan’s Zero couldn’t get it, so it failed in terms of money.

2nd Sunday occupancy is registered around 45-50% although screens are reduced. It is jump of about 23% today from yesterday.

Simmba has surpassed the lifetime collections of Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2 and Salman Khan’s Race 3. It crossed the mark of 50 cr, 100 cr, and 150 cr in 3, 5, and 7 days respectively. Trade Analyst Taran is hoping that it might touch the mark of 250 cr. Released on December 28, Simmba marks the first collaboration of Rohit and Ranveer, and Rohit and Karan Johar.

The film’s story revolves around a corrupt police officer who chose a right path in a sudden turn of events. It also features Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ashwini Kalsekar, Sonu Sood, and the Golmaal team.
