Ranveer-Sara’s latest Bollywood film Simmba has reached its 9th day of release. Let’s see how much collection the movie is going to make on its 2nd Saturday at the box office. Rohit Shetty directorial turned out to be one of the biggest hits of 2018. The masala-cop entertainer earned Rs 9 crore yesterday (8th day), and it has already crossed the mark of Rs 150 in the first seven days (1st week) of its run.

Produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions, Simmba earned over Rs 75 cr in the first weekend. By earning Rs 14.49 cr on Thursday and 9+ on Friday, it proved that it has the capability to get the blockbuster hit status. So, it has made its collection to Rs 159.83 cr in the first 8 days of release. Trade Analyst Taran says that it will cross the mark of Rs 175 cr in the second weekend itself.

Also, Taran is hopeful that it can reach into the 200 cr club before the end of second week. As a matter of fact, Ranveer’s Simmba has surpassed the 1st week collections of Race 3 starring Salman Khan which earned Rs 144.51 in the first seven days. Not only this, it has also shown an upper hand over Aamir’s Thugs of Hinduston which collected Rs 137.55 cr in the same amount of time.

Simmba is the official remake of the hit film Temper which starred Jr NTR. Besides Ranveer, the flick stars Sonu Sood and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles. The story revolves around a corrupt police officer who returns on the good path after a tragic incident. Sara plays his love interest. The film is on a record breaking spree. It has become the 8th film for Rohit to cross enter the 100 cr club.

It has also become the biggest grosser for Ranveer. As far as Simmba’s overseas collection is concerned, it has minted over Rs 60 crore from the international markets. On its day 9, Simmba has started again on a good note considering its morning shows’ occupancy rate. The occupancy is recorded to be around 26% which is 8% higher than 2nd Friday.
