Owing to its content and amazing star performances, Uri: The Surgical Strike is riding high at the box office. In the first 13 days of its release, the movie’s total collection stands at Rs 128.71 crore as per the reports received. This film will be considered a successful turning point for the actor Vicky Kaushal in Bollywood.

The military drama, based on the real incident which took place in 2016, has been performing steadily on the 2nd weekdays too. It witnessed a better second weekend compared to the first one. It is the first flick for Vicky to do a Rs 100 cr plus business as the lead star. He has achieved this phenomenal success in his career of just a three and half years.

Yesterday (2nd Tuesday), Uri collected Rs 6.30 cr. It is now going to break the lifetime collections record of Raazi which earned Rs 123.84 cr. In Raazi, directed by Meghna Gulzar, Vicky played the role of a Pakistani Army Officer to whom Alia Bhatt’s character was married as an Indian spy.

The film has turned out to be audience favorite as the moviegoers are rejected other recently released films on the silver screen. It is attracting majority of the footfalls. It has been directed and written by Aditya Dhar. Besides Vicky, Uri stars Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Mohit Raina, Rajit Kapur, and Kirti Kulhari in vital roles.

It is the based on the 2016 surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army against the Pakistani terror launchpads across the line of control. Released on January 11, 2019, the film received mixed reviews, but a very strong positive word of mouth from the audiences. The viewers are totally in the favor of the film.

Going by the trend, Uri has earned Rs 6.12 cr with a further decline on its 13th day/2nd Wednesday in business.

It was made on a budget of Rs 42 cr. As far as its lifetime collections is concerned, Rs 200 cr is not out of the question if it survives the big release Manikarnika on this Friday. It looks like it will touch the mark of Rs 175 cr in its run.
