SRK’s film Zero has completed its 2 weeks at the box office. Today, it’s the 3rd Friday (or 15th day) of the film’s release. Its collection has reached to a total of Rs 88.11 cr in the first 14 days of run. The movie witnessed a drop of 90% in the second week and minted just a total of Rs 6.25 cr nett. It turned out to be another debacle of 2018 after Thugs of Hindostan. (check: Simmba 8th day collection.)
Zero is probably the most expensive film of Shahrukh Khan, but has clearly failed at the box office. In the first week, 0 collected Rs 81.86 cr and then in the second week, it minted only just over 6 crores. It was one of the most anticipated film of the year, but became a huge let down after getting mixed reviews from the critics and then below average word of mouth from the audiences.
The film got a lazy start and with time, it declined futher. It was the only release for SRK in the year, but failed drastically. On New Year’s (12th) day, it collected Rs 1.25 cr. It’s not going anywhere with third weekend collections too. It seems almost certain that it won’t be able to enter the 100 cr club.
The story of Zero revolves around a vertically challenged man named Bauua Singh who is in search for a life partner. First, he comes across a differently abled scientist Aafia (Anushka Sharma). Afterwards, he gets fascinated by a superstar named Babita Kumari (Katrina Kaif). The love story travels from India to America and then to the outer space.
Zero 15th day collection
After the failure of Zero, Shah Rukh Khan has geared up himself to play Indian Air Force pilot Rakesh Sharma in his biopic. Earlier, Aamir Khan was to do the character, but he suggested the name of SRK to the movie makers as he believes that he will do more justice to the film.
