As its release date is coming nearer, the number of short clips released from the brand new upcoming second season of ‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’ keeps going on increasing. One of the recent trailers shows Kaguya and Miyuki getting close in some fresh romantic scenes. It also gives the viewers a glimpse of the events, situation and new characters as well that would possibly create the new storybase for this season. (check: One Piece Chapter 974.)
Speculations for the upcoming season:
Numerous Easter eggs have been featured in the recently released teaser of ‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’ which suggests that the chemistry between the characters would keep on getting more complicated as well as more interesting than ever. Though, we are not sure if a real confrontation of feelings between the two protagonists would either take place or not but it is very certain that their bond would become stronger than before.
We were able to see that they both were looking at the night sky together in one scene while walking back from school to home in another scene. Some of the keen fans also uploaded a simultaneous comparison of their looks in the upcoming season 2 to that in the manga.
It is certainly possible that its makers might have decided to pay more attention than before which they did previously in the first season towards the more similar animation of major and significant scenes from the manga source itself.
After seeing the teaser, we were assured that the scene in which Kaguya hides his desire to have a secret party organised for Miyuki’s birthday would also be covered in the second season of ‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’.
It is obvious that she won’t be able to help it much if Miyuki admits that he is no big fan of having birthday parties. Moreover, if she tries to directly persuade the president, it would be no less than confessing that she does have feelings for the latter.
We were also able to catch some hints about an old character who is supposed to make its comeback in the second season of ‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’. She is none other than Miko Lino. The involvement and significance of her character in the storyline of the anime would be more now than the previous season.
This time, we would get to see her as a prime opponent to Miyuki for the position of the president of the students union. After she had to face another defeat from the latter, she would be further offered a position in the council that would eventually bring a major change in the functioning of the group.
Release expectations:
The very first episode from the second season of ‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’ would be airing first time on the 11th April in Japan. The broadcast is also certainly gonna happen on the official streaming networks.
On the other hand, we were also able to track down some official statements announcing the release of a special episode a week before the premiere of the second season i.e. on the 4th April. There is no mention of its contents for now.
But we are quite certain that it is gonna feature all the major scenes and events from the first season to give us a quick recap about the storyline till now.
